The Shadow Man

Deep in the Ethiopian highlands, there exists a village shrouded in mist and legend. The villagers often speak of a terrifying entity known as



 "The Shadow Man."


According to local lore, The Shadow Man is said to roam the outskirts of the village at night, preying on those who wander too far from home after dark. It is believed that many years ago, a man named Tesfaye was cast out of the village due to his dark practices and strange rituals. As the story goes, he made a pact with the spirits of the night, seeking power at an unspeakable cost.


One stormy night, Tesfaye vanished, and a thick fog rolled in, enveloping the village. Soon after, shadows began to take form, creeping along the edges of the forest. Villagers reported seeing a tall, dark figure lurking just beyond the light of their fires, its presence accompanied by an eerie silence. Those who dared to venture towards the shadows claimed they felt a cold dread, as if being watched by unseen eyes.


As the legend goes, The Shadow Man is said to emerge from the depths of the fog to claim lost souls, drawing them into the darkness. It is whispered that if you hear a soft voice calling your name from the shadows, you must resist the urge to respond. For those who do are said to disappear without a trace, their laughter replaced by haunting echoes in the night.


Some say that a peculiar marking can be found on the ground where The Shadow Man walks—a circle of ash and charred earth, as if scorched by an unseen fire. The villagers now carry talismans for protection, and their children are warned never to stray far at night.Only the bravest among them dare to speak of him openly, and the tales serve as a grim reminder: when night falls and the mist hovers above the highlands, beware of The Shadow Man, for he is always watching, waiting for the next lost soul to claim.

A Mother’s Gift

From morning to evening he reenact the same routine over and over again. His daily routine is very simple. Wake up, make breakfast for himself and his son, walk him to the front yard for the school bus ride and then tidy up the house. After which he set off to work. In the afternoon when he closes from work, he goes to pick up his son from school and they both walk home.
