Strays

Angela loves the sight of cats and everything about felines. She is what you would call a cat person. One day, a stray ginger cat entered her apartment through the window, and she quickly went to pet it. She checked the cat's collar and found the cat's name was Mat. She was so excited that she didn't even notice the mini camera on the collar. She brought the cat some snacks and water, then petted its head and back. After a few minutes, the cat began to walk around the house and the rooms before taking a nap in the hall.

Over the course of the week, the cat came around, and most of the time, it just walked around the entire apartment, generally by the windows and doors. Angela continued to feed it more snacks and enjoyed its company. One day, when Angela came back home from work, she found her apartment had been looted. All her valuables and savings were stolen. She rushed to the police station to make a report, and when she got there, she met a man who was also complaining about the same situation.

After her complaint, the police informed her that a criminal had placed mini cameras on their cats to scout out houses and monitor their routines. Several people had also reported the same incident over the past few months. An investigation into following the cats to their original owners is ongoing. Aside from that, she was urged to change her locks and reinforce her doors.
