She Who Cried Wolf
Every few months, another man is publicly accused by 22 year old Anita. Some are arrested, some are beaten by relatives, and others flee town. Anita becomes a local celebrity and an outspoken symbol of women being believed. But a group of women quietly begin noticing inconsistencies in her stories.
After Anita is found murdered, suspicion immediately falls on the men she accused. However, the women who supposedly supported Anita provide perfectly matching alibis. The twist: they had planned the murder together for months, believing the justice system would never punish her because everyone automatically assumed the killer would be an angry man.
