Hyde n’ Zeke

At a travelling fair, six university friends are approached by a charming young man named Hyde, who offers them a cash prize to play hide and seek. After three minutes to hide, Hyde begins searching while another man moves unnoticed among the attractions in search of friends. One of the friends, Daniel, is found behind a ticket booth and told to wait near the entrance. Minutes later, Daniel’s girlfriend sees Hyde beside the carousel, even though Daniel insists Hyde has already found him. Before she can question the contradiction, Daniel disappears. When she confronts Hyde, he claims he has never met Daniel. The friends abandon the game and call the police.

The investigation takes a disturbing turn when witnesses insist they saw Hyde in different places at exactly the same time. Security footage appears to confirm their accounts, showing the same man near the Ferris wheel, the main entrance and a maintenance building at 10:16 p.m. The police suspect technical errors until Daniel’s body is discovered in an abandoned section of the fairground. Hyde is arrested and questioned, admitting that he organised the game but denying seeing Daniel after the search began.

When the detective shows Hyde the footage, he watches silently before asking,

“Which one of me did you arrest?”

He then reveals that, apparently theres a twin or a doppelgänger named Zeke. Although he has never met nor seen Zeke before, other people attested to the fact that they had seen and met him. Before the police can investigate further, Hyde mysteriously disappears from the locked interrogation room. On the table, they find a ticket bearing Daniel’s name, with a message written backwards the:

“YOU FOUND THE WRONG BROTHER.”

Months later, another group visits the same fair, where Hyde once again invites strangers to play. A young man recognises him from the news reports and refuses to participate. Moments later, he spots Hyde across the fairground and rushes toward him, determined to expose him. But the man denies ever meeting him. A little girl nearby whispers,

“That’s not the one who invited us.”

Across the fairground, another identical man watches them before disappearing into the crowd. The police find no evidence of twins, and the disappearances remain unsolved. The following morning, a new invitation appears at the fair’s entrance: Come and play. Hyde will find you.
